A truly bespoke kitchen can include everything your heart desires and your family requires. Our design team has been asked to create, accommodate, and invent key features to make our client’s dream kitchens come true, from pet stations to entertaining areas, clever storage and display units to hidden pantries. One significant trend is for displaying, cooling and storing wine and for bespoke bar areas in the kitchen. From wine fridges to built-in wine drawers, wine coolers and accessories and even ice troughs to chill champagne when entertaining. There are numerous innovative and clever ways to store and display wine ranging from temperature-controlled fridges, to freezers just for ice and fridges just for beer. We have also designed entire bars to accommodate our client’s wishes to entertain like professionals.

For the Kitchen in Bath project in a grand Victorian villa in Somerset, our clients wanted to incorporate a drinks bar and space to perch when entertaining. The original glazed brick chimney breast brought warm red-brown tones and inspired the use of walnut for the bar. The back of the bar was finished with ‘antiqued glass’ with a Carrara marble countertop and a Miele wine fridge. We also installed a task lighting system and undershelf glass rack for Champagne flutes.

In our Clifton Kitchen design in a luxurious new build home in Bristol, Somerset, we designed and installed a full bar as part of the entire bespoke kitchen project. In addition, we created wine storage and a wine fridge, beer fridge, glasswasher, and a sink hidden behind the bar, finished in walnut and polished brass with double thickness marble worktops and our signature Papilio ice trough.

In the Copper Kitchen project, the wine fridge was positioned central to the furniture, and a freezer just for ice was also integrated into the kitchen cabinetry. With our client’s love of entertaining (and champagne), we designed a bespoke copper ice trough/sink set into the kitchen island. The beauty of the copper trough was that it was perfect for chilling wine and food, but it is also the ideal place for growing herbs or arranging beautiful flowers.

Wine culture in the kitchen is here to stay, with many of us enjoying wine in the home and entertaining family and friends. So, if you’re after the ‘wow-factor’, our design team can innovate and recommend the latest technology to make bespoke kitchens exactly what you have been dreaming of.
