Here at Papilio bespoke kitchens, we love nothing more than donning the walking shoes to head out around London’s vast array of incredible showrooms. In search of the latest wine fridge technology or a stunning nickel faucet fit for a Papilio handmade kitchen.
Waterworks
Our go-to when it comes to faucets are Waterworks who manufacture amazing faucets. One of our favourites is the Double Gooseneck Regulator, which we used in the Georgian Manor kitchen and the Cotswolds Manor kitchen. Their 40 years of experience are embodied in the beauty and practicality of their creations. The high grade materials they use prolong the life of your faucet beyond an ordinary tap.
We also love that Waterworks is a family business, set up by Barbara and Robert Sallick and now headed by their son, Peter Sallick.
Their London showroom is based in the Chelsea Design Quarter. They also have showrooms across the UK and US, if you cannot travel to London.
Sub Zero Wolf
When it comes to appliances Sub Zero Wolf London feature at the top of many a Papilio clients wish list when choosing a range or refrigeration system for a bespoke kitchen.
Luckily for us their award-winning showroom can be found in Knightsbridge, a stone’s throw from many of our clients.
If you have not been it’s a must. There is a whole world down in the basement with a wood-panelled study, cigar room, cocktail bar, subterranean garden and a working kitchen. They even hold live cooking demonstrations with professional chefs offering a masterclass in how you can make the most of your own bespoke kitchen.
Perrin and Rowe
Perrin and Rowe create beautifully engineered, classic faucets for the kitchen and bathrooms. We love their pot fillers and instant boiling water taps. Little touches that make life in a kitchen so much easier, especially when you want an quick cup of tea, or boiling water for pasta! Whether it’s a traditional kitchen, Scandinavian kitchen or contemporary kitchen, they have a faucet to suit most styles.
Their Chelsea Harbour showroom provides a comprehensive look at their gorgeous taps. They do not sell direct to consumers, but it’s always fun to have a browse!
Paint and Paper Library
Paint and Paper Library stock a vast array of trendy and classic tones for painted cabinetry. For example their ‘original colours’ palette contains a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours perfect for use in a Scandinavian kitchen design. They also have a range of wallpapers, which they print using traditional techniques. Recreate the setting of an Agatha Christie murder mystery with the Marquetry wallpaper or go for a minimalist look with Archipelago.
Their main showroom is in Chelsea and demonstrates the breadth and depth of their paint colours via installations on the main wall. They also offer at-home consultations with their highly acclaimed colour experts.
Pulbrook and Gould
Pulbrook and Gould produce works of floral art! Their signature orchid arrangement is a favourite with clients and fills a Papilio bespoke kitchen with aromas of far away lands. With an aristocratic pedigree, the business was founded by Lady Susan Pulbrook and her florist friend Rosamund Gould. These talented florists create compositions that finish the look of any handmade kitchen.
There is nothing like the floral extravaganza both inside and outside Pulbrook and Gould at their Battersea location.
Pulbrook and Gould also just reopened a limited contactless delivery service so you can once again enjoy stunning floral arrangements in your handmade kitchen.
