Popular Kitchen Styles in Wales
Papilio’s bespoke kitchens in Wales are entirely unique. No two designs are the same. Our Cowbridge Kitchen, a bespoke kitchen in Wales, features floor-to-ceiling glazing, creating a calm space that connects the interior to the surrounding Welsh landscape. The design is an understated, yet distinctive statement kitchen set in a contemporary, architect-designed home in the Vale of Glamorgan. Key design elements include a contemporary bespoke kitchen island, purposefully positioned as the focal point. The island’s worktop is crafted from ultra-modern, deep black Richlite. Its soft, matte finish provides a striking contrast to the warmth of the handmade oak cabinetry below. Each drawer is meticulously finger-jointed by our master cabinetmakers. The joints are not hidden, giving the island a unique presence and a sense of permanence. Behind the handmade kitchen island, the rear wall is finished in another ultra-modern material, Fenix. Deliberately understated, the engineered material helps it recede visually, allowing the island to take centre stage. Integrated into this wall are the latest in modern technology, including a Fisher & Paykel fridge-freezer, a discreet dishwasher, and two Miele ovens seamlessly built into the cabinetry. The luxury kitchen is crafted with meticulous architectural detail and simplicity. The bespoke kitchen in Wales achieves a harmonious balance, blending precision with natural features, bold contrast with restraint. This modern kitchen is crafted with meticulous architectural detail and simplicity, designed to belong in its beautiful Welsh setting.

Do you manage the installation?
We certainly do. Our end-to-end bespoke kitchen design service includes consultation, design, build and installation. We have worked with our cabinetmakers, craftspeople and installers for years and trust them with our own kitchens.
Can you work with my builder or architect?
Absolutely. We often work with architects, builders, interior designers, and stylists at our clients' request. We believe in a collaborative approach to ensure our clients have the kitchen of their dreams.
Are your kitchens built in the UK?
All our kitchens are constructed in the UK. Even for our international clients. All our projects are designed in our studios in Frome and Bath, and your kitchen is manufactured and fully constructed there, including the pre-fitting. The kitchen is then deconstructed and installed in your home.

Do you have an aftercare service?
We will talk you through how to look after your new kitchen. Depending on the materials used, whether marble, oak, copper or engineered materials, we will advise on best practice.
Our kitchens are guaranteed for 10 years. If any cabinetry we craft fails, subject to fair wear and tear, we will repair or replace the faulty item. This guarantee covers any doors, cupboards, shelves, or drawers we build.
