The Wolf Range
We are very proud to be an official supplier of Wolf & Sub Zero. As a luxury kitchen designer these names are often on our clients wish list. Wolf started life as high-end stoves in commercial kitchens, but after Sub-Zero acquired Wolf in 2000 Wolf become readily available and a key feature in luxury kitchens.
There is an array of options when purchasing a Wolf range, all of which your friendly kitchens designer at Papilio will be able to discuss with you, to ensure you make the correct informed decision.
The first choice to make when planning to install a Wolf Range in your luxury kitchen is the fuel type, the options are “all gas” Dual fuel” and “induction” it is very possible that the existing set up of the property dictates this decision, but again your kitchen designer can advise you on this.
There are 4 standard sizes to choose from, 30in, 36in, 48in or 60in again depending upon your kitchen size and agreed layout, again your kitchen designer will advise you. There are also a variety of hob tops to choose from which we will cover in a review in the near future, but for now I want to just focus on what we at Papilio think are the key features that separate Wolf from other brands.
Iconic Red Knobs
The red knobs on a Wolf range are iconic and without doubt the first his you notice, although Wolf have been kind enough to give the options of black and Stainless steel. The duel fuel Wolf range has an impressive 20,000 BTU burner which is 33% more than the standard models. We also love the Coaxial Oven Knob which displays the temperature on the actual knob, which is extremely cool and ergonomically functional.

Pivoting Panel
The next feature that draws this appliance to a luxury kitchen designer is the pivoting control panel. The panel drops down from the front of the range to reveal a touch screen panel from which you can select 10 program modes including bake, roast, broil, convection, convection bake, convection roast convection broil, proof, bakestone and dehydration.

Twin Convection
Although the least visual feature selected for this review this is still well worth a mention, as after all if you are buying a Wolf hopefully you will buy it for its incredible ability to cook to absolute perfection as well as its stunning good looks.
To achieve this every Wolf range has dual blowers to circulate the heat in the oven and the convection motor has an independent temperature sensor to allow the motor to come on anytime required to ensure that the temperate always remains even.
Effectively you are getting 2 ovens for the price of one.
The most popular model in the range is the Wolf ICBDF484CG, but please feel free to get in touch with a Papilio luxury kitchen designer to discuss all models and options.
