Designer Kitchen Cabinetry Showcase

The kitchen has evolved from a functional space to a hub of activity and a place of expression, personal style, and craftsmanship. For those who appreciate quality and vision, a designer kitchen offers a unique opportunity to create an aesthetically pleasing space tailored to specific needs and wants.

Making a Statement with Bespoke Cabinetry

A bespoke kitchen, crafted by skilled artisans, is a work of art that reflects the individual taste and personality of its owner. Unlike mass-produced kitchens, customised designs are tailored to fit a space’s unique dimensions and architectural features. Crafted cabinets that meet your specific requests and the designer’s skill can result in an admiringly individual designer kitchen.

Considering Craftsmanship

The heart and soul of a bespoke kitchen lie in its craftsmanship. Skilled artisans bring their expertise and passion to every design aspect, from selecting the finest materials to executing intricate details. Their meticulous attention to quality and finish is evident in the finished product’s durability, functionality, and timeless beauty.

At Papilio Bespoke Kitchens, we have over twenty years of experience in designing and building handmade kitchens with a team of expert artisans. Each of our bespoke kitchens is distinctive; nothing is off-the-shelf, and every design aspect is unique. Our cabinet makers are experts in the craft, and here are three examples of designer kitchen cabinetry we’re particularly proud of.

The Alpine Ski Kitchen in France

We designed an Alpine Ski Chalet Kitchen in France showcasing exceptional kitchen cabinetry. Located in the French Alps, the old barn features wooden beams and windows, high ceilings, and spectacular natural vistas. With wood and light as inspiration, our expert team conceived a handmade kitchen befitting the exceptional views. The kitchen island took centre stage, meticulously crafted from a single oak plank. The island’s front showcases our signature finger joint details and resin infills, accentuating the wood’s innate features. The perimeter cabinets were designed in complementary rustic timber to marry with the wooden beams and window frames.

The Frome Kitchen

The Frome Kitchen is another fine example of exceptional kitchen cabinetry skills. The bespoke kitchen features perimeter cabinets with a red tint applied to the walnut, imitating the redwood through the Edwardian Manor house. The cabinets were designed with drawers throughout to allow easy access to contents. They also feature a sink under both windows, separating a dedicated washing-up space from a drinks area. The centrepiece of the handmade kitchen is the mid-century-inspired bespoke kitchen island. The customised fluting detail on the side of the island created from a double-thickness sheet of Valchromat was custom-made using a water jet.

The Georgian Townhouse

The Georgian Townhouse Kitchen in Bath

The Georgian Townhouse Kitchen in Bath showcases exceptional designer cabinetry in a Grade I listed Georgian townhouse. To make the most of the natural light, we kept the cabinetry to the base level along the main wall, allowing light to flow unobstructed to the room. We painted them in ‘Dead Salmon’ by Farrow and Ball to reflect more light. We also designed tall ‘open-shelf’ cabinetry to separate but not obstruct the two natural light sources, which reveals a coffee station with book-matched oak veneer inner, task lighting and a Zip boiling water tap.
