The Georgian Manor House Bathroom

A bespoke bathroom in rural Somerset

Our client was thrilled with our attention to detail and the final bespoke kitchen at the Georgian Manor House that they employed us to carry out the design and installation of more rooms in the house, including bathrooms and dressing room.

It was agreed that the Calacatta Oro marble would also look stunning in the bathrooms so we designed a shower enclosure and vanity unit to highlight the material.  We also used the same lights as were installed in the kitchen, but this time hung the vertically either side of the mirror.

Great care was taken in the design to ensure that the detailing of the marble was perfect and that the slabs were cut in such a way that the veining flowed seamlessly from the floor to the walls.  A bespoke “L” shaped shower screen slots into a bespoke brass “u” channel which also runs around the doors and mirror.

The canter lever detail for the heavy vanity unit required the bespoke manufacture of metal arms and reinforcing of the wall.  The 2 large drawers of the vanity unit slide with precision to reveal cavernous storage within.

A great example of Papilio extending design skills beyond kitchens.
